Request an Interview With A SIVIO Policy Lab Participant

[contact-form-7 id=”268″ title=”Interview Request”] Advocate Choice Damiso practices at the Advocates of Harare Chambers at Old Mutual Centre. She is a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe law school and she is also a board member of the women in law in southern Africa. She holds an LLB from the University of Zimbabwe and an LLM degree specialising in International Law and Human Rights from the University of South Africa (UNISA). She also holds a Masters in Women’s Law from the University of Zimbabwe Southern Africa Regional Centre for Women’s Law. She has extensive and varied experience in the public sector, academia, development sector and private practice. She is a gender equality practitioner and activist who has a special interest in exploring the gender dimensions of the law with a view to playing a role in the development of laws that bring about gender justice.
From 2004 to 2010, she was the legal counsel to Parliament. From 2012 to 2018, she was employed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Zimbabwe Country office as the programme specialist responsible for gender and human rights.
