Francis is the Research, Advocacy and Communications Coordinator for Community Alliance for Human Settlements in Zimbabwe (CAHSZ). Francis’ background is in journalism and therefore he has a keen interest in human rights protection, social movement building and promoting broad-based citizen participation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in socio-economic, civic and political processes in Zimbabwe. Francis also has extensive experience in development work, contributing in the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals through his work with various organisations in Zimbabwe, Africa and globally. Francis is the 2019 Global Youth Leadership Award winner and was also selected as a 2018 Community Solutions Program fellow, a U.S State Department Exchange program for 100 outstanding young leaders from around the world. Francis is an avid reader who also writes op-eds published in local newspapers. In his spare time, Francis runs a youth mentorship program to build the capacities of and create a network of youths passionate about all the 17 SDGs.
